Azurite Management and Consultancy, a Tanzania-based company specializing in mining, exploration, oil, and gas, has officially launched its operations in Malawi. The primary objective of the company is to provide professional and technical assistance to the mining industry within the country. The inauguration took place at the Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe, where Monica Chang’anamuno, the Minister of Mining, expressed her enthusiasm for the establishment of Azurite in Malawi. She said, "We are happy to launch this company as it will be giving services to large scale businesses that are into mining." Chang’anamuno highlighted the positive impact the company is expected to have on the mining sector, emphasizing the collaborative efforts with various companies in the industry. She underscored the significance of such companies, noting their wealth of experience in the mining sector and their potential contribution to economic development. Chang’anamuno added, "Malawi Government is trying its best to give the private sector a conducive environment for them to come in with their different businesses." During the launch, Siziwe Mkandawire, the Business Development Manager for Azurite, explained, "We are here to explore possibilities in the mining industry like mining in Karonga and Balaka. As such, we want to give solutions to the problems which clients face in this industry."
