Kwiz-1 Donates Sports Gear to Kamuzu Institute Socials
This is not just a donation; it’s an investment in people

Kwiz-1 General Dealers has reaffirmed its commitment to community-driven development through a strategic sponsorship deal with Kamuzu Institute Sports Socials.

The company has donated a full set of football kits, jerseys, footballs, and assorted sporting gear as part of its expanding corporate social responsibility (CSR) portfolio.

The donation is part of Kwiz-1’s broader effort to align its business growth with impactful social investment, particularly in the areas of youth development and community wellness. Speaking during the handover ceremony, Kwiz-1 Director Alfred Kwizombe emphasized the value of investing in local recreational initiatives.

“As a growing brand, we recognize the importance of giving back to the communities that support our business. Sports have the power to build discipline, teamwork, and unity—values that align with our own business philosophy,” said Kwizombe. “This is not just a donation; it’s an investment in people.”

The company, known for its operations in general merchandise, household goods, and agricultural inputs, is positioning itself as a brand that supports social cohesion while scaling its market presence across Malawi.

Echoing the impact of the gesture, Chiletso Kamwenje, team captain at Kamuzu Institute Sports Socials, said the support will improve not just the morale but also the performance of community teams.

“This kind of sponsorship gives us a sense of purpose and pride. With the new kit and equipment, our teams will not only look more professional, but we’ll also have better training resources to improve our game,” Kamwenje said.

Industry analysts note that CSR-driven community engagement is increasingly becoming a brand differentiator in Malawi’s competitive retail and distribution landscape.

Kwiz-1’s latest move is seen as a step towards building long-term brand equity while fulfilling its social obligations.

The company has hinted at more CSR initiatives to come, targeting youth empowerment, education, and health as future focus areas.
